Last year when news of Coronavirus began to spread and change the world as we knew it, it became clear how important it would be to protect communities living in poverty from COVID-19. Coronavirus has affected rich and poor countries, but communities without health infrastructure are particularly vulnerable and the economic impact of the pandemic threatens to push people deeper into poverty, so we knew we needed to act fast to make sure communities were able to protect themselves from the pandemic and its effects.

Bridget Amara from our partner organisation MAPCO has shared how our Rapid Response project in Sierra Leone has supported communities to stay safe and resilient in our video below.
