About VEDCO

Voluntary Efforts for Development Concerns (VEDCO) began in 1986, working with rural communities in Uganda and focusing on several aspects of livelihood development, such as improving food and nutrition security, fortifying agricultural businesses and making them sector more inclusive, and introducing sustainable, climate-resilient production practices.

Next year, Action on Poverty and VEDCO will carry out a new project based in the Palabek refugee settlement in Lamwo, Northern Uganda. The project will be focused on improving the livelihoods of refugee and host communities through climate-smart agriculture.
