About MOPADA-SL
Founded in 2006 as a community-based initiative in the Kailahun district, MoPADA-SL has grown into a nationwide force for good. They operate across all districts in Sierra Leone, working tirelessly to bridge the gap between vulnerable communities and the resources they need to thrive.
MoPADA-SL’s mission aligns deeply with our own commitment to poverty relief. They focus on improving the quality of life for those most at risk—specifically women, young people, and children. Their “bottom-up” approach ensures that development is built sustainably by the community itself.
MoPADA-SL brings expertise in several critical sectors that complement our work in the region:
- Livelihood & Food Security: Empowering farmers and families to combat hunger and adapt to climate change.
- Health, WASH & Nutrition: Improving access to clean water, sanitation, and essential healthcare.
- Education & Social Protection: Ensuring children have a future and the vulnerable are protected by fair governance.
- Gender Equality: Promoting justice and equal rights for women within every chiefdom they serve.
By joining forces with MoPADA-SL, we are collaborating with an organisation trusted by major international partners like UNICEF, Irish Aid, and the European Union. Together, we are working toward a “transformed self-sustaining community”.
