This Christmas, we are dedicating our entire challenge to the women of our projects. We see their incredible commitment to change and how they lift their communities with the same love and dedication they give their families. They are an inspiration for the next generations, breaking old stereotypes and challenging gender inequality.

The Challenge and Our Solution
Across the regions we work in, millions of brilliant women face relentless barriers. Deep-rooted gender inequality, harmful social norms, the escalating impacts of climate change, and a lack of access to finance, training, and education keep families trapped in poverty. When a woman is held back, entire communities are prevented from reaching their full potential.
Our Simple, Powerful Solution:
We tackle these challenges directly, not through short-term aid, but by investing in long-term solutions. Our approach is straightforward: we partner with trusted local organisations to deliver tailored skills, financial tools, and leadership training, always putting women at the heart of the solution.
This approach strengthens women’s groups, builds incomes, and cultivates confident leaders. As Agnes, a business owner we supported in Sierra Leone, puts it:
“MAPCO helped me start my cassava farm, and with this, I can look after my two children.”
We know our job is far from finished as we strive to reach every woman who struggles daily to meet basic needs like food and clean water.
