APT is excited to announce our Green match campaign, Climate Resilience in Kenya’s Indigenous herding running from Thursday, April 18, to April 25, 2024. During this week, your contributions will be matched, effectively doubling the impact of your generosity!!

Our goal is to raise £8,000 to support camel-herding pastoralism communities in northeastern Kenya by enhancing the efficiency of traditional camel husbandry practices.

In Kenya, over 9 million people rely on pastoralism for their livelihood. They come from communities living in arid and semi-arid areas, practicing traditional pastoralist livelihoods that are ecologically sustainable and climate-smart, especially compared to modern industrial livestock farming. The climate crisis is causing increased droughts, unpredictable weather, and reduced water availability, threatening these communities with food insecurity and an existential risk to their way of life.

Indigenous herders and pastoralism, integral parts of the Kenyan ecosystem, are in danger. Climate change is threatening their livelihoods. Would you like to take action and safeguard their future?

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet many communities lack adequate resources. By supporting our initiative, you’re not only providing water but also empowering these communities to thrive sustainably. Your donation during Campaign Green Match will directly contribute to rebuilding six reservoirs and ensuring a better future for generations to come.

At APT we believe in the power of collective action. You can create positive change and build a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
