Sue joined Action on Poverty in 2021 after a career working across South East Asia, Africa and Europe. Sue started her career in Bangladesh, working with the YWCA designing and marketing handicrafts. This was followed by a number of years in the private sector in the garment industry, before moving back into development to support micro- and small-entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka. She ran a project in Myanmar developing and delivering training for garment industry workers before moving back to the UK. Sue is managing our Disability Inclusion project in Tanzania and the Camel Milk project in Kenya.
