World Water Day

World Water Day
22/03/2017 Laliesha

In 2014 Sierra Leone was struck by the Ebola outbreak

People lost family members as the disease spread through the country.

In attempts to protect themselves people began focusing on their sanitation and hygiene.

Access to readily available and clean water is vital.

This outbreak put extreme pressure on already limited resources.

Our work in Sierra Leone helps communities access water.

Repairing water wells and pumps allows people to have easy and reliable access to safe cleaning and drinking water.

Hear from one of our Community Water Maintenance Officers.

Strict access measures are put in place to protect repaired pumps from damage and failure.
